What to Expect During Tree Removal

What to Expect During Tree Removal

Knowing what to expect can help you prepare and feel confident about the process.

Before the Crew Arrives

Clear vehicles and movable items from the work area. Make sure the crew has access to the tree with their equipment. Pets should be kept inside or away from the work zone.

The Removal Process

Assessment: The crew evaluates the tree, surroundings, and plans the safest approach.

Rigging: For trees near structures, the climber rigs branches and sections to control where they fall.

Sectional removal: The tree is taken down in sections from top to bottom, with each piece lowered or directed to the drop zone.

Cleanup: Branches are chipped, logs are cut and either left for the homeowner or hauled away, and the site is raked clean.

After Removal

You'll be left with a stump (unless grinding was included) and a significantly changed view. Most homeowners are surprised by how much space and light open up.
